What is Worksparks?
A coach for the people part of work — the conversation you’re dreading, the manager you can’t read, the decision you keep circling. You describe what’s happening, it helps you think it through, and you leave with specific language you can use. Most sessions take five to ten minutes.
No. Worksparks was built on 35 years of leadership coaching, but the problems it helps with belong to everyone — the conversation you’re dreading, the manager you can’t read, the colleague making work harder than it needs to be, the moment you need to speak up and don’t know how to start.
Worksparks runs on a specific coaching method developed over 35 years by Sonia McDonald, CEO of LeadershipHQ. It isn’t a general tool with a prompt on top — it’s a structured process for settling the emotional reaction first, reframing the situation, and then producing practical language. The order matters, which is why most general tools give advice that bounces off.
You open it and describe what you’re facing — talk it out for sixty seconds, or type it. Worksparks works through it with you using structured prompts, and you finish with an opening line you can copy, an approach, and practical next steps.
Yes. It’s built mobile-first — in the car before you go in, in the bathroom before the meeting, at 10pm when you can’t sleep. It works on desktop too.
No. If you have a coach, think of Worksparks as the support between sessions for the moments that can’t wait. It isn’t therapy, counselling or any form of mental health treatment, and it doesn’t provide clinical assessment or crisis support. If you’re dealing with something serious, please see a qualified professional.

Worksparks helps you think through workplace situations and find the words. It isn’t a legal service, an HR process, or a clinical one.

If something involves bullying, harassment, discrimination, threats, a safety risk, suspected unlawful conduct, or a formal disciplinary process, please talk to a person as well — your union, your HR team, a lawyer or your employee assistance program. Worksparks can help you get clear on what happened and how to raise it. It can’t investigate or act for you.

Email hello@worksparks.com or use the feedback option in the app. We reply within two business days, and feedback genuinely shapes what gets built next.

Can my employer see what I write?

No-one can read what you write — not your manager, not HR, not us.

On Team and Organisation plans, an administrator can see who holds a seat, whether each person is active, and how much the group as a whole is using Worksparks. That group reporting only appears once there are at least five people, so individual patterns can’t be worked backwards from it. They never see the content of anything you write.

If your employer paid for your seat, they’ve bought your access. They haven’t bought visibility of what you discuss.

Conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and review them regularly. No system is entirely secure, and if a breach occurred that was likely to cause serious harm we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as required.
We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising. To generate a response, your conversation is sent to a third-party AI model provider. We contract with those providers on terms that prohibit them from using your content to train their models. We also use service providers for hosting, payments, email and support, each bound by confidentiality obligations. That’s the full list — details are in our Privacy Policy.
Other people’s personal details. When you describe a situation, describe the role rather than the person — “a direct report who’s missed three deadlines” rather than a name, contact details or anything from their file. You may have privacy obligations of your own to the people you work with, and this protects both of you.

Yes, at any time. Email hello@worksparks.com or use the delete option in your account. After you cancel we keep your content for 30 days so you can export it or come back, then delete or de-identify it.

Worksparks is built to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and with GDPR. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
What does it cost for an organisation?
For up to 49 people, our Team plan starts at A$1,450 a year and includes five seats, with additional seats at A$450 a year. At 50 seats and above we build a custom package — SSO, scenarios shaped around your own values and behaviours, tailored onboarding, and integration with the LeadershipHQ program. Book a demo and we’ll scope it with you.
Team is opening soon. Join the waitlist on our pricing page and we’ll email you the moment it’s available — that’s the only thing we’ll use your address for.

The list of people holding seats, whether each person is active, and aggregate usage across the group — available once there are at least five people, so individual patterns can’t be inferred.

You will never see the content of anyone’s conversations, reflections or notes. That isn’t a setting; it’s how the product is built. It’s also the reason it works: people are only honest in a space they trust.

In general terms, eventually — never in specifics, and never for a small group. We’re building quarterly theme reporting for organisations of 25 people or more. It will show the general themes coming up across everyone — things like difficult conversations, workload, or change — and a theme only appears if at least five different people raised it. Below those numbers nothing is shown, because with a small group an “aggregate” figure points at a person. You will never see the content of anyone’s conversations, or a quote, or a summary of what someone said. That isn’t a setting we could turn on for the right customer. It’s how the product is built, and it’s why people are honest enough with it for the themes to mean anything.
Yes. We design pilots with one cohort before a wider rollout. Get in touch and we’ll shape something that fits your context and your timeline.
Most organisations can have a cohort onboarded within a week. There’s no complex IT integration required. Larger deployments with custom requirements take longer — talk to us about your situation.
An employee assistance program is there for personal wellbeing, usually as a booked, confidential session with a professional. Worksparks is about the work itself — the conversation, the conflict, the decision — and it’s used in the moment rather than scheduled. They serve different needs and work well alongside each other. Worksparks doesn’t replace an EAP, and where something needs a professional it will say so.
Programs build capability. Worksparks activates it in the moment. Most learning doesn’t transfer to behaviour because there’s no support at the point of pressure — Worksparks is the bridge between what people learn and how they actually show up on Tuesday afternoon.
Yes. Team starts with five seats and you can add more at any time at A$45 a month or A$450 a year per seat, charged pro-rata for the current period. Once you reach 50 people we’ll move you onto a custom Organisation package.
Who built Worksparks?
Sonia McDonald — 35 years in leadership, people and culture, and CEO of LeadershipHQ for twenty of them. She built it after decades of working with people who didn’t need more training; they needed someone in their corner in the moments that actually mattered. The coaching method inside the product is hers.

Yes. Worksparks is built and operated by LeadershipHQ, Sonia’s consultancy.

Worth being straight about what that does and doesn’t mean: LeadershipHQ sells leadership programs to employers, and Worksparks promises you that your employer can’t see what you write. Both are true. LeadershipHQ can’t read your conversations either, and there’s no version of that arrangement available for purchase, to any client, at any price.

Yes. Australian founded and hosted, based in Queensland, serving people across Australia and internationally.
