AI and Coaching Disclaimer

Effective 10 September 2026
Worksparks is an AI coach. It is genuinely useful and it is not a person. This page is the plain version of what it can do, what it can’t, and where the line sits.

Worksparks is operated by LeadershipHQ Pty Ltd (ABN [ABN]). This disclaimer forms part of our Terms of Service.

You are talking to software

Every response in Worksparks is generated by an artificial intelligence system. There is no human coach reading your conversation, replying to you, or reviewing it afterwards. The coaching approach and the frameworks behind it are Sonia McDonald’s, drawn from more than twenty years of leadership and coaching practice — but the conversation itself is produced by a model.

What it is not

Worksparks does not provide, and must not be relied on as, any of the following:

  • Psychological, medical or mental health treatment. It is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis or clinical care, and it is not delivered by a registered health practitioner.
  • Legal advice. Nothing it says about your rights, your contract, a dismissal, a complaint or a workplace law is legal advice. Talk to an employment lawyer or your union.
  • Financial advice. Including anything about salaries, equity, redundancy payments or contracts.
  • HR or industrial relations advice for your specific organisation. It does not know your enterprise agreement, your policies, or your award.
  • A crisis or emergency service. Nobody is monitoring your conversations in real time.

Worksparks is not an emergency service and no-one is monitoring your conversations in real time. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000 in Australia, or your local emergency number.

In Australia you can reach Lifeline on 13 11 14 and Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636, both 24 hours a day. Outside Australia, findahelpline.com will point you to a service in your country.

It can be wrong

AI systems generate language that sounds confident whether or not it is accurate. Worksparks can misread a situation, invent a detail, give advice that doesn’t fit your context, or reflect biases present in the data it was trained on. It does not know your organisation, your history, or the things you haven’t told it. It cannot verify what you tell it, and it works entirely from your side of the story.

Treat what it gives you the way you’d treat advice from a thoughtful outsider: worth taking seriously, worth checking, and yours to accept or reject.

The decisions stay yours

Worksparks is a thinking partner, not a decision-maker. Any wording, script, plan or option it offers is a draft for you to weigh against your own judgment and your own knowledge of the people involved. You remain responsible for what you say and do at work, and LeadershipHQ Pty Ltd is not liable for the outcome of decisions you make after using the product, to the extent the law allows.

It is not a reporting channel

Writing about bullying, harassment, discrimination, safety concerns or misconduct inside Worksparks is not a report. It does not reach your manager, your HR team, your board or a regulator, and it does not create a formal record for any of them. If something needs to be reported, use your organisation’s process or contact the relevant authority directly. Worksparks can help you find the words. It cannot make the report.

For organisations

Worksparks output must not be used in employment decisions. Engagement figures and organisational themes are not a performance measure, a wellbeing assessment, a psychosocial risk audit, or evidence in a disciplinary process — and they are aggregated and suppressed specifically so they can’t be used that way. Themes appear only once a team reaches ten people, and organisational themes require at least five distinct people before they surface at all.

Worksparks is a complement to your existing supports, not a replacement for your EAP, your health and safety obligations, or human management.

Who processes what you write

Your conversations are private. No-one at Worksparks or LeadershipHQ can read what you write. Your content is never sold, and it is never used to train AI models.

To generate responses, your messages are processed by third-party AI infrastructure providers under contractual terms that prohibit them from using your content to train their models. Full detail — including where data is stored, how long it is kept, and how to delete your account — is in the Privacy Policy.

The product will change

The underlying models are updated over time, by us and by our providers. Two people asking the same question, or the same person asking twice, may get different answers. Features may change or be withdrawn. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability, particular results, or that any specific model version will continue to be used.

Your rights under Australian law

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where a consumer guarantee applies and we are permitted to limit our liability, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
